Cheerful daisies thanks
Posted by Marie Smith on
Who does not like colourful, cheerful daisies, especially to say “thank you” to someone? This card features the Altenew watercolour dots stamp in the background. I applied different shades of green randomly on the stamp and lightly spritzed it with water before stamping onto smooth cardstock. The daisies were created using Altenew spring daisy stamp set and ink collections Pocketful of sunshine (so appropiate for daisies 🙂) and Tea party. The sentiment is part of the watercolour dots stamp set. The dies for the sentiment is from Creative Expressions Austrian Collection corner, border and tag.
Purple poppies brush marker colouring

Use the brush tip of Altenew #702 Lavender fields to fill the flower, using light strokes from the outside edges towards the inside. Make light strokes along the edges, using the same marker, as shown below. Remember to use the marker at a slant, so you use the edge rather than the tip itself to do...

Lavender, lilac and lace

The sweet peony stamp and die sets from Heartfelt Creations are so pretty and versatile in any colour. For this card, I stamped the peonies in deep purple archival ink, then dabbed on colour on the edges of the petals first with the deep purple and then with Versamagic in pretty petunia. After die-cutting with the matching dies, I shaped the flowers with ball tools. The background was cut from a page in the Heartfelt Creations lush lilac paper collection. I love the dimension and interest that the printed paper and lacy edge die add. The white lacy layer was cut...
