Cheerful daisies
Posted by Marie Smith on
I used the daisy-and-leaves embossing folder on water colour paper. I mixed some water colours on the water colourbox-lid and loosely filled in the large, debossed daisy and the debossed parts of the leaves. Then I dry-brushed the smaller, embossed daisy and leaves. The 'happy' is a Mama Elephant sentiment die. Ideal card for any time of the year - to cheer up at the end of winter; to enjoy the renewal of spring; or the warmth of our bright summers.
Sea world

Ideal card for men who love the ocean and sea life. I cut a circle from the interesting timber-effect scrapbook paper that was designed by Scrapbook Direct. This panel was then popped up with foam tape for dimension before I added the fishes and shells die-cut on silver mirror card stock. The 'sea plants' were made using a Marianne die. teh rope stamp is from an old-time favourite stamp set that is sadly no longer available. A piece of wound gauze was used as net.

Created this card using our new, exclusive dies, flower scroll die. Our cream velvety card stock, which gives excellent die-cutting results, was used for the card base, one layer and the die cut. Peach and grapefruit card stock used for layers and inlays. The flowers and leaves were inlaid.

The faux stitching on the background layer adds a finishing touch that is just perfect for ties. For the second card I used printed paper and simply die-cut a frame, using the Crealies XXL faux stitch dies. Topped that with a sentiment stamped on a strip of card stock of which I trimmed the one end into a flag shape. Finished off with a metal embellishment matching the...
Butterfly magic birthday wishes

Pink and butterflies both remain all-time favourites for cards with a feminine touch. This pretty bright pink cardstock enhances the dainty details of the butterfly die. The main feature - butterfly magic - comes with Tattered Lace magazine issue 20. The border is one of 4 that come as free dies with Tattered Lace magazine #17. I did not cut it through, so that the straight edge on the left remained. The birthday die comes from the Tattered Lace Happy Birthday Plaque set. Self-adhesive pearls completed the picture. With all the detail, the card took only 10 minutes to make....
