Dainty crochet doily

Colour combinations are all important, as this peach and mint combination shows. The 12x12 cm card is also an example of how you can use your narrow left-over strips of pretty printed paper to offset the focus element. I used the velvety touch cardstock in cream for the card base. This was topped with a layer of textured cardstock in mint. A paper scrap was used for the fern-embossed piece in cream. Only half of the doily was die-cut from peach shimmer cardstock to add further texture. This was first adhered to a very narrow strip of moss cardstock (5...

Do you also love foxgloves in an English country garden? Then this Tattered Lace foxglove die set is a must! Use it in different ways on cards or make a pretty border for your scrapbook pages. The pretty Graphic45 paper with spring/summer theme is the perfect backdrop for the chamomile spray, but any pretty floral paper or colour-embossed background will give a pleasing result. The card base is velvety cardstock in cream. A mat cut from mint cardstock forms a frame for the botanical print. The oval was die cut from peach shimmer cardstock. A butterfly button in complementary colour completes the card.

Teal script paper contrasts beautifully with the peach shimmer paper butterflies, with a touch of glitter glue. The reverse side of the paper has rows of simple but pretty butterflies. It also coordinates beautifully with the other papers in intense teal.
Butterfly rose corner

(The effect is that the middle section is a double layer, but it produces a neat result when viewed from all sides - no untidy seams.) The front was created using the Tattered Lace rose corner die. The corner...
