Dainty crochet doily

Posted by Marie Smith on

Colour combinations are all important, as this peach and mint combination shows.

The 12x12 cm card is also an example of how you can use your narrow left-over strips of pretty printed paper to offset the focus element.

I used the velvety touch cardstock in cream for the card base. This was topped with a layer of textured cardstock in mint. A paper scrap was used for the fern-embossed piece in cream. Only half of the doily was die-cut from peach shimmer cardstock to add further texture. This was first adhered to a very narrow strip of moss cardstock (5 mm wide), which was then adhered to a strip of pretty printed paper, before al the paper pieces were put together.

the finishing touch is a flower cut on my KNK Zing electronic cutter. E-mail me if you would like to receive an SVG or MTC file for this.
