Dazzling blue and dogwood roses
Posted by Marie Smith on
White card base of 14,5 cm square covered with a 14,5cm square from the Lady Pattern Paper Hello Card sheets in Dazzling Blue. I then made a diagonal cut on a another piece of paper 14,5 cm square.
The daisy-like border was cut twice, using one the Tattered Lace border dies that came with a magazine. One was slipped in under the top border of the paper piece with the diagonal cut and the other one on top. Before this piece was adhered to the printed base, I cut a circle using a die from the Crealies double-stitched circle set. The circle was trimmed and adhered to the printed base, followed by the bordered, printed piece of paper.
Dogwood flowers and leaves were made by heat-embossing with bridal embossing powder onto curious metal card stock. These were cut out using the matching dogwood dies, and coloured using daubers and ink. The centres were filled with green micro beads.
The tiny baby's breath flowers and their branches were made using a Cheery Lynn die set.
A few green sequens completed the card.
